Main advantages of ALC board

(1) Reduce wet operations on construction sites, improve construction efficiency, and shorten the construction period by about 1/2:

The use of building blocks requires the addition of structural columns and seismic waist beams, and the construction of a single wall takes more than three days to complete. And the block wall needs to be plastered on both sides to achieve the required flatness. After the wall plastering is completed, it takes more than 30 days to dry. Only after drying can the coating and painting process be carried out. ALC panels (lightweight aerated concrete wall panels) are produced through on-site measurement and fixed length processing. Construction of single-sided walls can be completed in just one day. ALC panels are constructed using dry methods and there is no need for on-site wet work. The flatness error of the wall after installation is relatively large, not exceeding 3mm. ALC board wall does not require plastering, and the construction process of wall coating and painting can be carried out after completion.

(2) Save project costs, with a higher savings of about 80 yuan/square meter:

① Compared to 200mm thick AAC block (aerated concrete block) walls, ALC panels eliminate the need for structural columns and waist beams in AAC block walls, reducing the amount of steel and concrete used; ALC board walls do not require hanging nets for plastering, but can be directly coated with putty. Compared to AAC block partition walls, it can reduce project costs by 15.00-25.00 yuan/square meter.

② Compared to AAC block walls, ALC panels do not require structural columns or concrete waist beams, and the cubic dry bulk density of ALC panels does not exceed 650kg (conservative design value of 850 kg/m3); The aac block wall contains masonry mortar, concrete waist beams, structural columns, and plastering mortar on both sides (concrete density is 2400 kg/m3, cement mortar density is 2000 kg/m3). Under normal conditions, the comprehensive cubic density is about 1300-1400kg. The use of ALC boards effectively reduces the structural load-bearing capacity; During the design phase, based on the density calculation and structural load of ALC board, the steel content can be saved by about 4-6kg/㎡ (approximately 20.00-30.00 yuan/㎡);

③ From the above two items, it can be seen that due to the significant reduction in the overall load of the wall, the structural beams, columns, and foundations of the project can also reduce the cross-sectional size and concrete grade, and even reduce the burial depth and excavation depth of the foundation. The comprehensive cost can be further reduced by about 15.00-25.00 yuan/㎡;

④ Wall renovation fund: AAC blocks, the wall renovation fund generally returns 70-80%; If all ALC boards are used, the higher return rate will be 100%. The wall renovation fund is charged at a building area of 10.00 yuan/square meter, and using wall panels can save 2-3 yuan/square meter in costs.

(3) ALC board meets various technical specifications and increases indoor area:

① 150mm thick ALC board meets the insulation, heat insulation, and sound insulation requirements of 200mm thick AAC blocks; Compared to using AAC blocks, the thickness can be reduced by more than 50mm, reducing the space occupied by the wall and increasing the practical indoor area;

② ALC board has a significant advantage in crack resistance compared to AAC block walls, as it is reinforced with double-layer bidirectional steel mesh inside, which restricts its expansion and contraction. In addition, special adhesives are used to fill the joints between the overall wall surface and the beams and columns, resulting in very few cracks; Over time, the contact area between the aac block wall and the beam column will experience more wall settlement, resulting in the appearance of cracks on the wall and edge. Once cracks occur, they are difficult to treat;

③ ALC board has high seismic performance. According to relevant seismic load failure tests, this board can withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake in engineering structures to prevent the wall from collapsing. Even if it breaks, due to the connection of the steel mesh inside the board, it can also break without collapsing;

④ Compared with sandwich color steel composite panels, ALC panels have more obvious advantages in fire resistance in steel structure engineering. ALC board is processed from inorganic materials and does not ignite when exposed to fire. The fire resistance limit of 100mm thickness can reach more than 3.5 hours.
